bootcd-mkinitramfs software package provides initramfs extension for bootcd, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install bootcd-mkinitramfs
bootcd-mkinitramfs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the bootcd-mkinitramfs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep bootcd-mkinitramfs *
You will get with bootcd-mkinitramfs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
